Study About Some Mechanical Properties for Composites Reinforced with Corn Cob Powder

In this paper we have created some composites reinforced with corn cob powder and the matrix was made by a combination between Resoltech 1050 resin its 1058 hardener. For manufacturing, used manual casting technique. new manufactured composites, determined mechanical properties from tensile test according to ASTM D3039: Young modulus, breaking strength elongation at break. We also molded samples for compression D695-15 strength. The tests were on universal testing machines. end, dynamic studied material clamping one edge leaving unconstrained other edge. At placed Bruel&Kjaer accelerometer which recorded free vibrations. From vibrations recording Euler-Bernoulli theory, next properties: damping factor per unit mass length, eigenfrequency, modulus of elasticity, loss rigidity. experimental results, obtained increased values proposed compared test.
